Final Image Preview

Step 1

Get your selected fire image (preferably one on a dark background as this will work better); now go to the channels tab located next to your layers tab.

Step 2

Now select the red channel ( unless you have a different colored fire ) now hold down your cmd or ctrl key and click on the little image next to the red channel colour, this will select all of that colour in your image (well all the white because it will go black and white).

Step 3

Now with it still selected click on the rgb channel layer, now your image should be back to normal just copy (ctrl + c) and paste (ctrl + v) onto a new layer by switching to the layer tab and creating a new layer.

Step 4

Now it should be done, it’s as simple as that now you can use it on basically anything you want. Hope this has helped.
